Hey! This week we have a couple cool treats for the heat, mind blowing cake design, a spin on your fav Latin treat, and FREE ice cream! 😁

Let’s lead with that one lol…

This week’s partner, Gelati Celesti, is scooping up (🙃) something cool for you. Literally. 

They are giving away free scoops of ice cream this weekend! 🍦 You can get all the details and info at the end of the newsletter. 

They are also the makers of one of this week’s treats. It was National Cherry Day Tuesday so that’s the inspiration for the pick. 🍒

Amarena Cherry Ice Cream
Gelati Celesti

This ice cream combines sweet cream with Italian Amarena cherries.🍒While Maraschinos cherries are super sweet, Amarenas are sour. So this a unique sweet and tart mesh. 

This was a temporary scoop, but the folks at Scoop said it does pop up a few times a year. Otherwise, their items cost anywhere from $3 - $8 depending on what you get.

Alice in Wonderland / Teapot Cake

Look at the detail! tbh it was REALLY hard to choose a cake for this entry because there are so many amazing designs. 😮

However, this one is not only meticulous. It’s nostalgic! Def check out the artist’s Instagram to be impressed.

As for prices, they start at $22 for a 4” cake with basic decoration. And up from there depending on size, detail of design, filling, etc. There are everyday single treats as well.

Tres Leches Parfait
Pies and Cakes Bakery

Tres leches is one of the most delicious cakes (according to me 😆 ) and Pies and Cakes has put a unique spin on it. The parfait is layered with Tres Leches cake and cinnamon whipped cream. 

Not on the regular menu, but likely to make a comeback. I’ve also noticed other specialty parfaits. And they are only $2.99!

While Beauvine excels at burgers (they were actually one of Richmond Magazine’s picks for fav burgers 🍔), they also offer “adult shakes”. 

This is their “Secret Breakfast” shake made with Stoli Ohranj vodka and (errr duh) fruity pebbles. It’s on their everyday menu and $12.
